Russian Tea Culture
With a climate much more suited to tea drinking than tea production, Russia produces a negligible amount of tea, but has a tea culture of its own. The Republic of Georgia produces almost all of the tea produced in countries once part of the USSR.
Russians used make tea in samovars, but now usually make very strong tea in one pot, and then dilute it with boiling water before being served. Russians usually prefer lemon and sugar in their tea.
