Turkish Tea Culture
I was fortunate enough to attend a Turkish festival in downtown Chicago in 2005. It was here that a nice store owner showed me how Turkish people make and drink tea. Turkish people make tea using a Turkish tea-making contraption that consists of two metal teapot-like pots that are stacked on top of one another. The bottom pot holds only boiling water. The top pot holds the tea. Turkish people serve tea in very stylish little glasses without handles, with sugar and lemon.
